Veterans Events
Veteran's Appreciation Day
Each year, we honor our nation's military members, veterans and their families with free outdoor food and fun. Attendees enjoy a bar-b-que lunch, fishing, horseback riding, kayaking and canoeing before a special "Missing Man" Table Ceremony by Rolling Thunder.
Veteran-Specific Therapy Riding
Veterans can register for Therapeutic Horseback Riding and Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) sessions by appointment. These military-specific sessions blend our SpiritHorse Curriculum with the O.K. Corral Series approach, “Coming Home Again," a specialized application that addresses the needs of returning veterans and their families.
R&R
Veterans and their families enjoy time outdoors in this relaxed, unstructured event. The Veterans Home is open for visits, while families can picnic, use the playground, fish, hike and spend time doing ground work with the horses.
